Upset I had to miss this but I got some food poisoning that started last night and I spent the entire night dealing with it leaving zero room for practice.

Sheeesh that was a long haul. Congrats Heinz!

Managed to pull one good lap out in quali that was fast enough for 3rd which I was quite surprised with! I seemed to have lost all my pace in practice!!

Got a good getaway and managed to get past Ross, had a pretty good run on Heinz but never considered going for anything, would have been tears! Settled in 2nd and realised there was no point pushing too hard to match Heinz who was too quick for me and I was running lowish 22s which was as fast as I felt comfortable with. Ross was not far behind but I just about had it covered, pitted on lap 15 I believe for some fresh rubber. Came out behind the battle for 7th or 8th I believe before coming in to the hairpin disaster struck when I believe John missed his braking point and I was suddenly heading towards the wall very quickly! Checked the damage and repairs were definitely needed, darted in the pits but couldn't get the car stopped in time with the damage so got myself a stop and go to go with it! D'oh!

After this I was the last car left in the running I believe so settled down and just lapped as fast as I could adjusting the the slight damage I still had, reeled a few people in, came up behind John who jumped out the way and flashed me by, thanks sir but accidents happen you were fine to race!

Got stuck behind a few of the top 5 at one point when I was a lap down so sat and waited for them to pit so I could get back on my pace and was managing to go fairly consistent with the low 22s and just about sneaked a top 10.

Bit of a 'what could have been' race but I'm pleased I made it to the end and my pace wasn't tooo far off.

And thanks to Scott finishing 7th we're currently the top team waheey

No a great speed I had so I focused on not making mistakes.

Start was good and clean, and I had gained some places, but on lap 3, some kind of lag issue to Darren Adams, his car just appeared in front of me, I didn't have a chance and crashed against him, losing most of the gained places an damaging the car a bit, but I could still drove it fine.

During the first part of the race, I was quite happy with my race, close to T10 positions with no mistakes. Unfortunately from lap 45 to lap 50 my brain disconnected for a while and had 3 big crashes against the walls, forcing me to an unexpected stop to fix them. To add troubles, Bekas was also stopping... just in my garage!!!! had to wait for him to finish and then had my repairs done. (hate you now even more, rF!!)

After that I had almost lost a lap with everybody, my brain was in its place again and no more mistakes. If I only could take those 5 laps out!

Sorry for that Alberto, I had a screen freeze and when it came back I just got hit and I knew nothing about it.

I had an awful race.
It was all good in first stint but then some troubles started in my house and i completaly lost my focus.
After today i will quit racing.
Congr to Heinz and podium guys!

How frustrating...drove the perfect race for over 40laps and was looking certain for an unexpected podium thanks to great fuel economy, only to have all the hard work undone when the pit lane limiter fails to engage on my second stop...such is life as they say!

Massively disappointed at the turnout, but it just meant my target for a race finish, and perhaps even a top 10 was a bit more achievable. Qualifying was as expected...might have knocked a couple of tenths off my best time but the battle for track space saw Heinz back off on the last bend, and I had to take avoiding action...thanks for the apology tho Heinz.

Got a decent start but was boxed in behind a slow starting Darren...doon to 10th but picked up places when Caner spun, and then when Darren disco'd. Got into a rhythm behind Ryan and Rodrigo...picked up places when the 4-stoppers pitted and managed to leapfrog Rodrigo when we pitted. Fairly steady second stint...gap would open and close each lap but was a couple of secs clear in 4th at halfway when I peeled off into the pits, braked, pressed the limiter...only to see the speed climb as I entered pitlane...gutted.

Stop/Go penalty served, doon to 9th...again picked up a couple of places when the 4-stoppers cycled through...then Ross rejoined from pitlane in front of me and thought I'd try stay with him to get my lap back...only to realise he was no longer a leader! Hung on for aboot 5laps but a couple of errors gave him a gap...cannae complain aboot a race finish in the top 10, but it could have been so much more.

Great result for the team tho, shame my real-life commentating commitments rule me out of the next two rounds. Great racing tho lads, just hope to get a better than 50% turnout next time!

Only 30 drivers were allowed to race, so that is about a 65% turnout. The red-light status members could not join anyway.

Still, 65% is not ideal and we will work towards a full(er) field next race.

Disppointing result for me, was leading for a while as myself & Heinz were on different pit strategies, and after i made my final stop i was pushing to make sure Heinz didn't exit the pits ahead of me. Unfortunately i went too hard into the fast right-hander and totalled the car, only just making it back to the pits for repairs. Lost around 100s because of one silly error, but scraped home to finish 6th. Very close racing with Heinz though, and generally good driving from the lapped cars. (although i wonder if the 'blue flag' appears on everyone's screen?)

Forgot to add a big-up to Race2Play and their officials for all their hard work behind the scenes...even tho I've not been a member for long, the professionalism of all the events I have taken part in - along with a bit of support from Chris Hack and Driven by Passion - helped me eat my own hat and become a supporting member this week...despite my obvious concerns about no-shows! Those that do race are a credit to the series, so thanks again R2P!

Had such a terrific battle with ross after i messed up getting ready for my first pitstop.
I exited the left hander after the chicane and looked to push my pit request button, only to look up an realise i was passed my brake marker.. Luckily had a 10second or so gap to buffer the loss and when i came out of pit road Ross was just flying passed to take the lead.
I used the next stint to figure Ross out, just sat on his bumper trying to get his weaknesses spotted and if he buckled under pressure i would have the lead back, there was no pressure to attack just yet.
Ross had stopped on 20, then again on 40 so i realised he was going to stop again on 60 and full tank it while i was 24/48/72 with a splash and dash
Regardless if ross made his mistake or not, he would not have come out ahead of me so i was quite confident i didn't have to pass.
Before final pitstop though, Ross did get it wrong on the left hand kink on 2nd corner and allowed me to get side by side. I didnt expect ross to hold his line in the middle of the road so i started braking and moving slightly across not expecting him where he was my heart jumped to my throat when the rear suddenly started to get pushed out from ross's front end.. luckily we both held it, went side by side again into next corner but had the inside and won the lead and racing line into the next right hand turn.. Ross dropped back after that and I brought it home feeling relieved .. What an epic race, thanks ross :)
