Yes i read the instructions above but all those upgrade options I was just lost not knowing which to choose.

So being 6 secs off pole just due to different car upgrades is a bit silly so just left before race started.

My first race on Race2Play. Unfortunatley, I got disconnected on the first lap. I'm totally new to Rfactor - could this have been due to a wrong setting I have in the game?

Very fun race. Never drove these yet and I must say I'd like to see more(euro) Rhez races. Tommy and Allen took almost the same car, but mine was faster on straights but slower in corners.

Too bad no rank will be applied though.

Joco pulled straight by me on the first lap straight, I guess we know he chose the bigger engine :)
But it seems like Allen and I chose about the same car. Helluva battle for 8 laps or so Allen, too bad about your little mistake :(

More please! And to anyone reading this, if you want to learn to race, how to keep corner speed, battle in traffic, etc, you need to enter one of these.

First off - sorry again to Sasa for the bump during the warm-up lap. I thought I was leaving plenty of room as we approached the archway, and then those in front of you slowed WAY more than I was expecting, and I wasn't able to competely stop in time (if it matters, there were others behind us that suffered worse from this accordian effect).

After the start (where Sasa and I were both able to get past the row in front of us once the lights went out) I had fun chasing Sasa for most of the race, until he made a small bobble in T1 that gave me the chance to get by.

Then Tim came from out of nowhere, and I found myself with a bump-drafting partner down the back straight (I felt like I was in a Spec Miata race...thanks again for the run, Tim!) I know you could have passed at any opportunity, but it was fun trying to figure out what you were going to do next.

These are fun cars, and the open guidelines re: upgrades offer more opportunity for customization.

Grecian - sorry you didn't stick around, I think you would have had fun no matter where you were running.

I like the idea of this (potential) series very much, so i was screwing around with these a bit yesterday, even though i wasn't expecting to be able to do the race. Then, when the opportunity materialized about 20 minutes before qualifying, I thought i had my Rhez options sorted out and my compromises balanced, so i entered.

But when i joined the server i found myself forced into a totally stock GT3: skinny tires, sloppy suspension, bad gearing, no horsepower... everything totally stock. I think it was Tim who clued me in to having to select the proper series prior to "join".

So i exited, set the proper series, but then discovered i had to buy and build the same car all over again.

Rejoined the server just before it went to Qualifying. Escaped from the Q session when it became apparent that i'd missed something. Re-checked all my upgrades, corrected the problem and rejoined the server to watch the rest of you finish qualifying.

Guess i have a lot to learn about rFactor still...

Warmup session confirmed that the car was now handling pretty much as it was during yesterday's practice, and that i was getting the expected speeds on the straight.

Formation lap convinced me that compromising on the brakes was not my smartest move. I figured this would be all about momentum and the stock brakes worked well enough to get me around the corners. Kinda forgot that with 13 other cars on the track i might actually need to slow more abruptly than a fully loaded river barge, or maybe even stop without the aid of a tire barrier.

Oh well... i made the decisions, now i'd have to live with them.

But not for long as it turned out.

This really would be an interesting series. The plethera of options available amounts to a psychological experiment and the race becomes a test of driving personality.

I spent about 3 hours yesterday figuring my fastest upgrades and like Barret and a few others found they didnt seem to appear when I joined the server. Fortunately I had the time to work it out. Thought I'd done a great q lap then Tim beat it with a lower 1:25. Race was fun, Tim did a suicide Sam while warming his front tyres leaving me in P1 and a clear run to the 1st corner. Tommy in 2nd was faster in the corners and able to close, but unable to pass as I seemed to have a slight straight line advantage and I should have had this race in the bag. Lap 8 and an old friend comes onto vent worse for wear after happy hour and totally blew my concentration, I missed my braking point completely on the back straight, managed to dodge between the tyres, 3 point turn behind the tyre wall and rejoined in 3rd. Oh well...lol it was funny. (I'll kill him quietly later). Grats to Tommy on the win and look forward to a few more of these.
