Iowa Corn Indy 250

Well might of had a descent finish, but was spun into the wall and suffered a damaged car that took 54 seconds to repair. This caused me to go down about three laps which is difficult to make up. My car was then a handfull and it was all I could do to finish. Ended up 5th overall and got some good points. See you guys at the final race.

Well what can you say,yellow was the colour of the Day.
I did not do well in Q but found my self in second fairly quickly.Conor had the field covered by shear speed.I was able to keep with in a second .Stayed out of trouble until lap 160 or so.Damaged a nose and front supension,the repair put me back some laps.I finished 3rd so I will take it.

Just some advice for the driver not familar with oval racing.Driving by yourself and being quick is one thing,get on the practice server and run in traffic.These cars react differently in clean air then they do in dirty air.
Some of you found that out the hard way.Be patient do not try and drive too the front before turn 1.

Not a very good race, all things considered.

I had a very quick car which kept me in front for most of the race. But once I got behind someone, that aero push killed any momentum that I might have had. Seems like that was the case for most everyone else as it was "follow the leader" most of the time.

During one of the long green flag runs, I had caught up to the back of the lead pack when one car jumped out of his bottom lane on the front straight and slammed me up against the wall, sending car parts all over the place. No caution for the wreck.

Apparently, the steering wheel of the other driver fell off the table which would explain the erratic move by him. Nonetheless, the car was beat up pretty bad and I lost 5 laps getting it fixed in pit lane. Weirdly, it was still kinda fast and I was able to keep up with the leaders. But I couldn't do anything with the aero push so I just held back and drove around until the race ended.

Avoided a DNF but it was still a disappointing finish. Oh well...back to real racing in a couple of weeks. See you all then.

As far as I know comments like that Conor made ??are not allowed in R2P or insults. I've had my comments deleted for much less. This is a rule just for "newbies"? Have you even tried to talk to the pilot involved in the incident Conor? Do not go judging a pilot so you do not know if he had any problems.

I was not insulting the driver, Andre. I was insulting rFactor for its inconsistencies in calling cautions.

Lucas and I talked it over well before I made that post. I even clarified what his issue was in that post (his wheel falling off the table). Simple accident. Not sure what you thought I said, but please re-read my post.

I put a couple of more degrees of front wing.It was just a bit slower put I was able too deal with the areo push. I was able to pretty much drive around anyone who I came across.Now getting to you was another story.In clean air you were very fast. But if I had got to you we would have had a battle on our hands.

I thought about adding wing but it wasn't something I tested and was skeptical it would work with the setup. At the end of it all, it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference.

Sure it would have I could have caught ya lol
