1h of Valencia (BMW M3)

First, I hate this sorry for an excuse, box-on-wheels car, and I hate this version of Valencia. Someone said these cars are like go-karts on this track, ha! That car slides around like it did in GTR1. It sucks! Not only that, but for some reason I am getting passed like I'm standing still, I have the throttle to the floor on the long pit straight and still get passed! I believe we're all running the same car, so why would that happen? It sucks!

Lost connection to my ISP for about 15 mins at the end of quali.

Get rid of this pit lane speed limiter crap! It is just as flawed as it was in GTR1! I came in for a pit stop and made sure i was below 36 mph before i hit the green lights and the limiter went on automatically. Made my pit stop, came out and boom, i was hit with penalty after doing nothing wrong! It screwed my race at Barcelona and it screwed my race here; GET RID OF IT!!!

I set up my setup (pun intended), to include my pit strategy. I even set up a second pitstop just in case the tires were frying. However, the idiot I am, I didn't put enough fuel in on the first stop to make it to the end.

So after stopping, coming back from 15th to 8th, I ran low on fuel. Grrrrr.

Just moronic, cheated myself out of a good top 10 finish. Grrr

Finn- No problem man just one of those racing thingees. I still finished in the top 5. I ended up doing a no pitter.

I still had a blast!

Started out in mid pack and after the penalties assesed to others was in 6th place chasing Ari for almost the first half of the race. I could keep up with him and stay right on his tail but I could not get by him. I was also getting alot of pressure from Finn who was right on my tail the whole time when Ari finally slipped a little onto the strait away and I got under him going into turn 1 but he held very tough on the outside and I could not get by him (nice driving there Ari) going into turn 2 I had to back off early and thats when me and Finn touched and spun. It now became a 1 pitter for me.

At first my intensions were to stop only for tires because I started with enough fuel for the entire run, but that changed and ended up in 5th place after getting by Todd toward the end. THAT WAS A BLAST!

Other than my little pit problem, the race was actually pretty fun up until then. Qualified first with a 1.12.7 but when we were placed on the grid, Claus was in the pole slot on the right...looks like a little bug right there. Anyway, i started the race with 90L of fuel just to play some strategy and actually the car held up quite nicely. For the first few laps Claus was all over me but ducked into the pits so after...dont know what happened there. So i cruised a long for a few laps and Sam caught up to me. We battled for a few laps then i made a little mistake going into turn 6 and he got under me for the lead. Looked like he had a lighter fuel load or something because he really rocketed out of the corners, a lot better than i could. So i just followed him for a few laps until i made a few mistakes and went off the track after the chicane. It was past the 30 min mark so i decided to jump into the pits to just grab tires and thats where my race went down hill....:(

Other than that, it was a pretty fun race. Im not much of a BMW fan but i was surprised how well the car handled and how fast i was with a car i know nothing about and at a track i never been to before. Wish it ended on a positive note for me but we are still testing this game out and there's plenty more fun runs in the near future anyway. :)

Had it in the back of my mind to do this on no stops, and I fell back a little in the opening laps to keep from abusing the new tires.

Once the rhythm picked up I started catching Dean, but each time I'd get within about a second we'd hit traffic and I'd lose him again. (One second or so was just enough gap to stick a car between us.)

At some point Dean pitted and that was the end of my chase. From there it was a matter of managing my tires the rest of the way. I didn't get a tire warning till about the last 10 minutes, and this was just after getting tapped and spun from behind.

It was interesting that a pit stop at this track apparently takes about as long as it takes the BMW to make a lap ... Several times a car ahead of me would peel into the pits, and one lap later would be pulling out again either right ahead or behind me.

I hopscotched with several faster drivers who'd make a mistake and I'd get by, only to have to find an opportunity to wave 'em by again without losing too much of my momentum.

It was a good run. Congrats to Sam on the win and Claus for digging out of that hole (penalty) to still take second.

That was fun , didn't have much testing behind before the race but car turned out to be ok. Took 90 liters of fuel and medium tires all around to make it without stopping , if tires will hold up and didnt have any probs with wear , times dropped about a second a lap towards the end but car was fun to drive through the race.

Didn't really thought to made it without stopping , since i was powersliding everywhere while chacing Conor :D , but tires hold up just fine.

Nice fight there for a while with Conor again , thx 4 the fun mate. Tough luck with my team mate CJ , who got a stop and go without reason , his pace would have give him a win otherwise , but i was glad to be there for a backup this time .. :D.

Thanks for the fun .. and i mean fun :D , these cars are a blast to drive !!! ;D

Hopefully we run some more of these M3 races in near future.. :)

Fun race, specially since I had to fight from dead last after unscheduled S&G on lap 3. Dunno whats wrong with this game since the blag flag icon was alrdy there at start of the race, starting to think it could be maybe coz I speed in pitlane in qual or sumthing but dunno, could be anything with this buggy game. And yer gridpositions are screwed at Valencia, even P's are a bit ahead of the odd P's, hope they fix that in a patch(!)
But yer maybe it could be an idea to try speedlimit in pits off for a few races, looked like it gave quite a few of the drivers a headache today.

Other than that car was feeling great and driving great too, managed to find some different driving technique on that last corner which helped on more occasions to slipstream cars down the strait.
