Blue Ridge 200

For some reason I had problems with my car behaving inconsistently that developed not too long into the race. It's a problem I didn't notice earlier and didn't notice last night running the shootout. I was trying to figure out if it was due to tire temps or wear but just couldn't get a handle on it. That left me sometimes working well, for me, out of 2 and sometimes out of 4. Somtimes it took more throttle to get the car to rotate out of the corner, especially noticable out of 2, and sometimes it would end up breaking loose on me.
After the last spin I decided to park it. I don't think I got into anyone so hopefully I wasn't too much of a problem for anyone. At the same time I decided to park it I lost connection to the server so either way it worked itself out. I'd like to have gotten in more time, even if I was on my own lap most of the time, but I can do that offline and not risk someone else's race getting ruined. Richmond's a tough track and I just wasn't up to it tonight.

I did a lot of practice for this race and I believe it would have paid off until I Lost Connection.I switched to Dodge because Tim Leitz gave me a Dodge setup last night for the shootout. It was fast but too loose for my liking(I spun in the shootout).So I kept working on it and was about to give up when I finally hit on a setup that would allow me to do 20+ laps without spinning. I added front sway bar, added wedge, softened the rear springs, and lowered the track bar on the left side while using a racing setup guide I printed up and then the car felt really good. I was Rocking and rolling pretty good too when I lost the connection. I was definitely feeling like a top three finish was realistic. I wouldn`t care if I lost a connection on any other race but I was pissed about this one because this is my favorite series to run this season. Being competitive helps. Oh well,I`ll try again next week.

Difficult track as Patrick said. My car actually started feeling better after I crashed about 50 laps in, I had gone back a lap because of that crash. I took some gambles and was able to regain my lap around lap 120 and I even was able to lead with about 50 or so laps to go but I went into Turn 1 to hot and I hit the wall and killed the right front tire. I limped around in 3rd the rest of the race.

Tough break Larry, sure everyone whose been around simracing has had a connection lost or two and feel your pain with that. Just pretend your engine blew and maybe you'll feel better :)

I don't think the chassis makes any difference - as far as I know I thought Tim said all chassis's are the same, just named different for users preference.

My first win at r2p, and my first stock car win in several years...

I worked hard on setting the car up for long runs this race. Like Larry I went out and downloaded a bunch of setup guides and started tweaking the setup Tim had giving us last night. Turns out my adjustments for long run setup also gave me a pretty fast car on fresh tires. I had a slightly different line then everyone else, not sure if it was because my setup allowed it or what. I kept running up on people mid corner, and accidentally tapped Bill a few times. Sorry for that Bill, it was not intentional. I did intentionally tap a slower car a few times at the beginning of the race after he showed he had no intentions of letting me by. I finally had to drive around the outside of him to get the pass done. That was actually some fun racing.

I thought I would be more excited for my first win here but with such a small field it kinda deflates the win. Oh well, looking forward to next week.

That was good fun. I don't think I had anyting for Larry and sure didnt' have anything for Jimmy. On another note...man I gota get a better chair for 200 laps. You might say it was a pain in the butt.

Congrats on the win Jimmy. Sorry I didn't make it home in time for the race. Practiced for quite a while today for this race and was running well and steady laps. Unlike last night where I was experiencing a severe loose condition on entry under braking. Which is why I spent so much time practicing today and then I didn't make it home to race. Congrats to you too Bill for a second place finish for RFJ.

Don't let the small turnout diminish your accomplishment, a win is a win.
Besides, I tried to make my car seem twice as wide every time you lapped me. ;)
