Mantorp Camaro Cup 2

Not much to say but: GREAT RACING!!
Good and clean fights with almost everybody on track, and specially with Troy. I managed to hold him behind me, although I'm not sure how many more laps I could have done it!!

Congrats to the podiums and see you at Knutstorp!

Great racing guys, I just couldn't get the eye/hand coordination thing going. Great shots too ( just too many of me backwards....:). On to the next!

Having come 5th in race 1 it was a P4 start for Race 2 (reverse grid). Start initially bogged down slightly, but the take up thereafter sprang me into P2 into T1, behind Neil Larson.

It wasn't long though before the faster guys behind started to hassle me. Again, I found I was slower on the back straight despite seeming to get a decent exit from the chicane, and was under pressure at the end of that straight a few times early on.

A little mistake (changing down too early into Mjolbysvangen) put me into a sideways drift - Glyn Jones following suit behind (see his picture), and so Matt Clark took advantage and went by.

I managed to keep it straight (not spinning) despite being part on the grass and later had a nice tussle with Alberto, Neil, and Troy Uyan into F2-Kurvan.

In the end I dropped to 5th, when Jon Uyan got on my inside entering Mjolbysvangen (again someone being faster down the back straight). I left him space, but as we turned in Neil was spinning around. Knowing Jon was there I went outside but gave room - and we both went by Neil with not much to spare!

Eventually settled into 5th and slowly was dropped by P2 to P4 - though later in the race I started catching Jon (around 2 seconds ahead at one stage having been 4 seconds ahead).

Then, on the last lap, I attacked the first kerb of the chicane before the 'Strip', and span around! I rejoined in the same position but lost around 10 seconds in the process. P5 was about where I should have been, not quite having the pace of the cars ahead.

Great close action early on with Neil, Alberto, Troy and Jon. Very good stuff guys:).
