Total and Complete Frustration......

I just hate that I spent the entire week preparing for one of my favorite tracks and was taken out like this. I blew both front tires with this wreck and didn't even have the opportunity to finish because I couldn't get my car to pit lane. I had to take a dnf because the game doesn't offer the option for a wrecker. At least I didn't cause this wreck.

race was bad, lots of cautions, everyone crashing. dont know why i was kicked out when it wasnt just my fault it was like this

Graphics card problems caused my DNF...

It was wild and crazy out there, was just hoping for a finish.

That was indeed frustrating - these weekend races are about the only time lately I get any practice in and feel fairly prepared, so it's doubly annoying to exit a 100 lap event on lap 3.

Started out pretty well with a 2nd row starting slot and a decent race car, but it went south fast. First Fernando puts a fender into my left rear on lap one and keeps it there until I'm WAY sideways. Nice. Barely got that one collected, losing 60mph and 8 spots in the process. Was not so happy, but at least I hadn't crashed or bent the car - was thinking about showing some love, Tony Stewart style later in the race. ;-)

Anyway, I got up to speed again again and looked to have escaped a disaster, when just into lap 3 Fernando checked up for some reason right in front of Ernest, and those two crashed in front of the whole field. I saw it ahead and was looking for where to go. Ernest held it up by the wall but Fernando was coming down the hill and I didn't think we could get under him. Francesco was right in front of me and he went low. I chose high and would have just made it, but Francesco didn't make it on the low side and hit Fernando, knocking him back up the track into me.

Big mess ensued; Tom had nowhere to go and hit me from behind, cars all over the place. I ended up down on the apron with a car that wouldn't do anything but rotate around the LF. Game over.

What to say... Patience, guys - the first 80 laps are only there to set you up for the shootout in the last 20, not the other way around. This isn't F1, it's stock cars on ovals! Chill out, manage your tires and wait for the good stuff at the end.

The huge disaster was because Ernest brake with me and of course once the car hit the wall, I was a passenger, but when It started going down I was scared and preety sure that was goint to finish with many cars out.

Somehow I managed to keep in the race, 1 lap down but Still there. And with this kind of races, I was on the first position some laps.

Finishin in 4th position is not bad. May be next time less yellows and more action.

Sheesh...that had to be the dumbest race I have ever participated in. No fault of Tim at all, he handled it as about as good as he could have, but WE ALL looked like a bunch of jackasses out there. Admins of public servers would have been laughing at us tonight...

Let me just say this:

If you don't know the rules to R2P oval racing or stock car racing in general, you probably shouldn't be racing in this series.

If you can't handle your car on long runs and only focus on making hot laps in practice and the race just to make your balls look bigger, you probably shouldn't be racing in this series.

And if you are frustrated with any of the above and decide to take it out on another competitor during a caution, you probably shouldn't even be at R2P let alone this series.

While I am not 100% sure about this, I think all those missed cautions that we were having were caused by one/few of who were not in the right position. I've seen this happen in the shootout series before. When someone is out of position, whether its a non-lapped car in the wrong spot or one of the lapped cars isn't paying attention and is in the wrong lane, the server will not throw the green and will wait another lap to do so.

The name of the game is to pay attention and be patient, guys. This kind of racing is not like any other racing we have here. Unfortunately, rFactor doesn't make it any easier, but we all have to chip in and work together to make this series run as smoothly as possible.

Sorry for the little rant there....

Sorry to whoever I hit on the start. I actually missed a shift and dropped into first gear. That caused me to hit the wall and run down the track. Luckily I was able to get my car fixed and rejoin the field.
There was some good racing in between the cautions. I didn't expect all of the bumpin' and bangin' that went on I figured that would be next week at Bristol. Michigan is usually a little calmer. Hopefully, guys will learn to not to make a run for the finish line like it's the last lap when it's actually the first lap. It's been said again and again but it's about managing your car in stock car racing.
No matter what this series has been a lot of fun overall and I really appreciate those who are racing clean and have a sense of give and take. That really makes it worth it. We all have our mistakes and we all have our bad luck but overall it's been great.
And thanks, again, to Tim for stewarding. There's a lot to deal with between the glitches in the software and what's going on with the competitors.

Well said Conor. It's unfortunate that you got caught up in someone's temper tantrum tonight. That was just unbelievable.

Yeah Conor, I saw what happened to you. It was right in front of me. That was pretty ridiculous but I don`t think you have to worry about that guy for awhile. There was alot of stuff happening out there tonight but I drove through it and kept my nose clean and got a good finish by racing smart,racing hard and giving other people a little room to race. I got a little luck a time or two also.As far as looking like a jackass? I`ve been called worse.
