Welcome to G2

When we went to Race status my gear ratio was severely shortened and compressed. I had a top speed of 110 mph. Just parked it. I have been having issues with the PLR file disappearing. I probably need to check the integrity of my PLR file. Does anybody have any ideas on what happened?

Did you have your "favorite" setup selecting the wrong setup? I will change it to what ever setup you have selected as your favorite, so I'd double check that.

I was headed to a decent finish until the Hotel Internet Fairy decided to renew my DHCP lease.

So yet again, I get a DNF.

I double-checked to see if I had a favorite set-up, but there was none. Good suggestion though. Set-up felt very strange in the G3 race as well. I was a good four to five seconds per lap off what I had been practicing in full race trim. I thought maybe I had damaged the car on the first lap.
The PLR file disappearing or going to a tmp file is still troubling....

My first victory at r2p. It feels awesome to have that "1" in the Win column. I really like the G2 cars and look forward to racing them more. Congrats Michael Lilley on your first podium, hopefully I will be seeing you and Tim Robinson a lot more on the track in the future.

Stay Off the Green?

The pre-race notes seemed to indicate don't TOUCH the green. I watched the replay, the only one staying off the green was Bill.

I am not upset about this, but in the future I think either enforce this or don't even mention it.

That's because of my new-found speed limiter meant I could not carry enough speed into or out of the curves! Check out the replays of the G3 and the G2 races, Clay.

I had similar issues Bill. I had it right for practice and qualifying, but somehow it seemed my gearing got completely changed when the race came. I had no top end power, and thus was easily passed down the main straight.

It didn't matter, never liked this track anyhow. For some reason, it never seem to fit my driving style or something. Plus, I never purposefully used the green area, certainly not lap after lap, which wasn't gonna help my times compared to those who did. With Bill parked, I knew I was gonna lose anything, so I just made a 15 minute pit, coming back out at the end to make sure I avoided a DNF. As a result, I got to see Francesco and Joseph wreck in my rear view mirror on the final turn. I'll have to watch the replay to see exactly what happened, looked fun though. =)

I must admit, I am pretty bothered about the issue of the green as well. I will be the first to admit that there probably wasn't a lap I didn't end up on green but there is a big difference between mistakes (which are followed by an effort to get off the green) and someone that was using the green (all four wheels) on every lap for an advantage.

Clearly there was a problem that ended in a particular driver being called out by name by the Stewards. Watching the replay from his seat was very frustrating.

I think if we get to a point where a driver is called out by name then that driver should have received a drive-through.

My best is a 1:13.2 (1 second faster) using two wheels on the green. I would have liked to have been able to do that if I had know that you could use the green on every lap without penalty.
