The AC Cobra was already a powerful piece of machinery. But to take on the Ferrari dominated FIA World Championship of ‘64, Carroll Shelby would need something faster. With a modified Ford V8 generating close to 380bhp, and a streamlined coupe chassis designed by Peter Brock, the Daytona Coupe was born. The beautiful body allowed the Daytona to reach a higher top speed than anything of it’s time, and the big Ford V8 gives ample torque to power out of corners without fear. - Jerry Chen
