Shelby GT350
Another brain child of Carroll Shelby, the GT350 was his attempt at giving Ford an affordable street-to-race car. Using the same Ford 289 V8 found in the Cobras, it included a hood scoop and were white with blue "LeMans" striping down the car. In '66, Ford also offered additional colors, including the now famous and sough after Black/Gold Hertz Rent-a-Racer GT350Hs.
Since this is mostly a street car with a race car engine, the handling characteristics are still very Mustang like. Top heavy, with highest center of gravity and overall weight in the class, it does not stop or corner easily. However, this also makes it one of the most fun and rewarding cars to drive, as you toss it about. It is best to induce a slight drift into the apex, and then use the big V8 power to force the rear end to snap around. - Jerry Chen
