Ferrari 575

In 2003, with the success of the Prodrive customer 550s, Ferrari's interests were perked. Their customer racing program, "Corse Clienti" decided produce race ready turn key versions of Ferrari's latest 2+2 grand tourer, the 575. While these 575Ms were produced by Ferrari, it was going to be a strictly customer program, with no hope of a factory works team. Ferrari made many changes to the road car, similar to Prodrive, including increasing the engine displacement, and using carbon fibre all over the car. In its debut at the 2003 Estoril race, the 575 won the race over the Prodrive 550s, proving that the car had the potential to be a winner. With slightly better weight balance than its older cousin, the 575 has very similar handling characteristics to the 550.
