The Nueve de Julio race track in Argentina is named after the Argentinean day of independence declaration: July 9th. The track is 2.9 miles (4.6km) and is run clockwise, and it can be run in the full "Grand Prix" configuration or a slightly shorter one that by-passes the chicane after the front straight. It is located in the province of Buenos Aires. The track was used by private cars, and has been a regular event in the Argentine stock car series (ACTC), which is one of the most popular championships in all of South America.
